The paternal relationship between Jacob Martens and his son
Cornelius Martens is confirmed by the direct inheritance path of autosomal DNA down to their DNA tested descendant JS.
The segmental (via DNA segment triangulation) and total DNA shared between JS and other confirmed descendants of
Peter Martens is consistent with the expected ranges for their respective relationships. Since JS descends from Peter Martens through Jacob Martens and his son Cornelius Martens, the presence of significant shared DNA between JS and other known descendants of Peter Martens validates the generational links along this paternal line.
This supports the conclusion that DNA was passed from MRCA Peter Martens through Jacob Martens to Cornelius Martens, and ultimately to JS, confirming this direct ancestral connection through multiple generations.
