The maternal relationship between Helena Martens and her son
Heinrich Dyck is confirmed by the direct inheritance path of autosomal DNA down to their DNA tested descendant TCF.
The segmental (via DNA segment triangulation) and total DNA shared between TCF and other confirmed descendants of
Peter Martens is consistent with the expected ranges for their respective relationships. Since TCF descends from Peter Martens through Helena Martens and her son Heinrich Dyck, the presence of significant shared DNA between TCF and other known descendants of Peter Martens validates the generational links along this maternal line.
This supports the conclusion that DNA was passed from MRCA Peter Martens through Helena Martens to Heinrich Dyck, and ultimately to TCF, confirming this direct ancestral connection through multiple generations.
