The paternal relationship between Peter Martens and his son
Jacob Martens is confirmed by the direct inheritance path of autosomal DNA down to their DNA tested descendant ED.
The segmental (via DNA segment triangulation) and total DNA shared between ED and other confirmed descendants of
Peter Martens is consistent with the expected ranges for their respective relationships. Since ED descends from Peter Martens through Peter Martens and his son Jacob Martens, the presence of significant shared DNA between ED and other known descendants of Peter Martens validates the generational links along this paternal line.
This supports the conclusion that DNA was passed from MRCA Peter Martens through Peter Martens to Jacob Martens, and ultimately to ED, confirming this direct ancestral connection through multiple generations.
