Question:

Can I consolidate all my DNA matches from Ancestry, MyHeritage, FTDNA and LivingDNA in "Your DNA family"?

Answer:

Yes. You can upload your raw DNA file from any of these testing companies to our app:

  • 23andMe
  • AncestryDNA
  • MyHeritage
  • FamilyTreeDNA (FTDNA)
  • LivingDNA

Your DNA Family compares every uploaded DNA file with all the others, no matter which company it came from. That brings your matches from different testing
companies together in one place, so you can see how you are related and which ancestors you share.

Your matches are people who have also uploaded their DNA to Your DNA Family. You can invite your DNA matches from within the app so they can join too.

How to add your DNA file:

  1. Download your raw DNA file from your testing company's website. It will be a .zip or .gz file.
  2. Don't unzip it. Upload it exactly as it downloaded.
  3. In the app, open "Add a DNA file" and choose your testing company. You'll find step-by-step download instructions for each company there.

You can also add a DNA file for each person whose test you manage, for example a parent's or grandparent's kit.
